研究目的
To study the influences of the temperature and thermal-stress distributions on the damage of GaAs solar cell, the change rule of the temperature and thermal-stress field inside a three-junction GaAs solar cell, which irradiated by continuous Gaussian laser beam, are calculated.

The results show that, temperature and thermal-stress field have the same distribution form with the incident light. The maximum values of the compressive and tensile stress increase with the increasing of the laser power density and waist radius. The thermal damage evolution of this kind of solar cell is obviously different with different laser power densities and waist radiuses.

The model assumes the laser energy is only deposited on the bottom cell, which may not fully represent all real-world scenarios.
