To report a case of persistent erythema ab igne (EAI) occurring after low-level laser therapy (LLLT) for lipolysis and body contouring, highlighting a newly described adverse event resulting from LLLT.

This case highlights a newly described adverse event of persistent EAI resulting from LLLT. Although EAI is considered benign, there is rare potential for malignant transformation, and persistent EAI should be carefully evaluated for underlying neoplasm(s).
