研究目的
To establish a simple correction formula for the calculation of intraocular pressure (IOP) in post-LASIK myopic patients.
研究成果
A simple and easily applicable correction formula, Real IOP=4+0.7(preoperative IOP)?0.3(ablation depth), may be a good option for the proper assessment and follow-up of post-LASIK IOP.
研究不足
The study was restricted to myopias and myopic astigmatism among patients following LASIK, which may limit the generalizability of the findings to other refractive errors.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
This prospective clinical case study included 300 eyes of 150 patients with myopia and myopic astigmatism who underwent LASIK. IOP was measured preoperatively and 6 months postoperatively.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Patients were selected based on inclusion criteria such as being fit for corneal refractive surgery, older than 18 years, with stability of refraction for the past year.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Goldmann applanation tonometer (GAT) for IOP measurement, Pentacam for corneal topography, and ultrasonic pachymetry for corneal thickness measurement.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Preoperative and postoperative IOP measurements, corneal topography assessment, and pachymetry were performed. Follow-up was conducted at 1, 3, and 6 months postoperatively.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Statistical analysis was performed using IBM SPSS for Windows to detect correlations between variables and to construct a correction formula for IOP.
