研究目的
To propose an intelligent energy control scheme, named the residence energy control system (RECoS), developed based on wireless smart socket and Internet of Things technology to minimize energy consumption of home appliances without deploying sensors.
研究成果
The RECoS, based on wireless smart sockets and IoT technology, effectively controls the energy consumption in a residence without deploying sensors. It provides four control modes to manage the on/off state of home appliances, achieving up to 43.4% energy saving for some appliances in a weekday. Future studies will focus on improving the system's reliability, behavior models, user interface, and security.
研究不足
The RECoS does not deploy sensors, which might limit its ability to predict users’ behaviors accurately compared to systems that use a large number of sensors. Additionally, the system's effectiveness is dependent on the user's lifestyle and the appliances' usage patterns.
