研究目的
To gain insight into the behavior of the system from which the signal originated by extracting information about time-varying oscillatory modes and their interactions in biomedical data.
研究成果
The presented techniques for the analysis of signals originating from time-dependent dynamics facilitate the accurate extraction of the system dynamics over many scales of time and space, especially when applied in the context of chronotaxic systems. These methods provide a wealth of information about the underlying system, but their optimal implementation depends on the characteristics of the data and the information required.
研究不足
The analysis is limited by the length of the time series, especially for very low frequencies, and the ability to reliably extract a single mode when frequency variation is too fast or more than one mode is present. The methods also require a sufficient number of periods of oscillation for reliable analysis.
