研究目的
Investigating the potential of chalcogenide AB(S,Se)3 materials to solve the stability and toxicity issues faced by conventional perovskite solar cells.
研究成果
Chalcogenide materials offer a very promising way to solve the two main challenging issues that mixed-halide perovskites are facing, namely, the toxicity due to Pb and the limited stability of such material in the presence of moisture. The next step for such alternative materials to standard Pb-based absorbers is to move toward low-cost processing of these materials as thin films, and to test them in an adapted solar cell structure.
研究不足
The synthesis of high-quality inorganic chalcogenide absorber in solution might be challenging, and most post-annealing treatments need to be done at high temperature (>600°C), which is higher than the softening temperature of the soda lime glass substrate usually used for the fabrication of thin film PV devices.
