研究目的
Investigating the strong exciton-photon coupling in organic microcavity electroluminescence devices with thiophene/phenylene co-oligomer derivatives for polariton formation under electrical excitation.
研究成果
The study successfully demonstrated strong exciton-photon coupling in organic microcavity EL devices, leading to the formation of cavity polaritons with a large Rabi-splitting energy. Efficient relaxation into the lower polariton branch was observed, and the superlinear increase in luminance with current density suggests a contribution from triplet excitons. Future work could focus on improving film quality and device structure to achieve polariton lasing.
研究不足
The study is limited by the molecular orientation and crystallinity of the vapor-deposited films, which could be improved for stronger coupling and higher Q factors. Additionally, the roll-off of EL intensity at higher current densities indicates exciton quenching by injected carriers.
