Low-level laser light therapy (LLLT) is a promising new treatment modality for androgenetic alopecia (AGA), with RCTs reviewed in this study highlighting its benefits in improving hair thickness and density with very few tolerable side effects. There is a need for larger RCTs, especially comparing LLLT to standard treatment modalities like finasteride and minoxidil.
