Highly solid-luminescent g-C3N4 nanotubes with a high quantum yield of 30.92% were synthesized and demonstrated in phosphor-converted white LEDs. The N-rich and graphitic carbon-free features are responsible for the enhanced quantum efficiency. The reaction temperature plays a decisive role in PL QY, with optimal performance achieved at 525 °C.

The performance of g-C3N4 nanotubes in white LEDs still needs to be optimized, including PL QY and emission color chromaticity. The transformation from triazine carbon to graphitic carbon at higher temperatures reduces the PL QYs.

A facile thermal condensation path was used for the synthesis of g-C3N4 nanotubes stuffed with quantum dots. The reaction temperature was controlled to improve the photoluminescence quantum yield.

9 Melamine was heated in a sealed quartz bottle, exfoliated by ultrasonication, purified via dialysis, and dried to obtain powdered samples.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
XRD, XPS, TEM, FTIR, Raman, UV-vis absorption, PL and PLE spectra, and absolute QYs were measured to characterize the samples.
