研究目的
To determine predictors of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) success in lowering intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients with glaucoma.
研究成果
Greater IOP before SLT and increased angle pigmentation were associated positively with SLT success. Age, glaucoma severity, total SLT power, type of glaucoma, severity of glaucoma, visual field mean deviation, and retinal nerve fiber layer thickness were not found to correlate with success. No difference was found between the rate of success based on any surgical treatments before SLT.
研究不足
The study was limited by its retrospective nature and lack of standardization for performing SLT, which may have led to variations in outcomes. Follow-up visits were not standardized, and clinical data collection during visits after SLT may have varied throughout the study period.
