研究目的
Investigating the influence of phosphor particles on the moisture sorption, permeation and diffusion in optical silicones used in LEDs.
研究成果
The addition of phosphor particles has a very small impact on the moisture transport properties of the silicones, with no significant difference in sorption enthalpy or activation energy of diffusion between the clear resin and the resin containing phosphor particles.
研究不足
The study is limited to two types of silicone resins and a specific concentration of phosphor particles. The influence of other factors such as different phosphor concentrations or types was not investigated.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study compares two silicone resins commonly used in LEDs, with and without phosphor particles, using the wet-cup method and dynamic vapour sorption (DVS).
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Commercially available silicone resins OE-6650 & OE-7662 of optical grade silicone with high refractive index were used, with and without the addition of 6 wt% phosphor particles.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
TA Q5000 SA for DVS measurements, glass vials for wet-cup experiments, high speed mixer for sample preparation.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Samples were prepared by mixing silicone resins with phosphor particles, cured, and then subjected to DVS and wet-cup measurements at various temperatures and humidity levels.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Diffusion coefficients, sorption isotherms, activation energy, and sorption enthalpy were calculated from the data.
