研究目的
To analyze six techniques aimed at reducing energy losses in photovoltaic panels operating under partial shading conditions and to compare these techniques to define the most suitable for each shading profile.
研究成果
The evaluation of six techniques to enhance the power output of PV arrays operating under partial shading conditions revealed that the effectiveness of each technique depends on the shading profile. Techniques that exclude shaded modules and equalize string voltage through a Boost converter were most suitable for profiles with a higher number of shaded modules, while simpler methods like by-pass diodes and module exclusion were effective for fewer shaded modules. The position of the shade in the PV array significantly impacts the energy production, with shaded modules grouped in the same string resulting in higher power output than those in different strings.
研究不足
The study is based on computer simulations, which may not fully replicate real-world conditions. The effectiveness of the techniques may vary with different PV array configurations and shading profiles not considered in the study.
