研究目的
Investigating the lowest possible temperature for successful growth of ZnO nanowires and optimization of the main process, along with comparing many different metals as catalysts of directional growth.
研究成果
ZnO nanowires were successfully deposited by PLD at temperatures as low as 450 °C using Cu and Al nanoparticles as catalysts. This temperature is still high for organic materials but provides an opportunity to combine ZnO nanowires with a wide range of materials stable at this temperature. The selection of proper catalytic element plays an important role in synthesizing ZnO nanowires at relatively low temperatures.
研究不足
The typically used temperatures for ZnO nanowires growth are in the interval 700–1000 °C, disqualifying the application of thermally sensitive materials. The study aimed to lower this temperature but found limitations at 425–450 °C with only Cu and Al nanoparticles successfully catalyzing growth at this range.
