A facile, sensitive, and selective platform has been developed for determination of telomerase activity with high sensitivity using SERS and colorimetry. The bifunctional method demonstrated excellent discrimination ability to quickly quantify the concentration and activity of telomerase, with a wide detection range and low detection limit. The probe has shown potential for clinical tests, establishing a noninvasive method for bladder cancer diagnosis.
