研究目的
Investigating the fabrication and characterization of light and pressure sensors based on PVDF with solution-based and transparent electrodes for self-powered wireless sensor nodes.
研究成果
The manufactured piezo- and pyroelectric based sensors with transparent electrodes exhibit a pressure and light sensitivity of 80 mV/Pa and 42 V cm2/W, respectively. These values are better or comparable to the ones of aluminum-based electrodes with the advantage of defining the electrodes directly on the sensitive foil. The maximum RMS powers for the piezo- and pyro effect yield to 1 μW and 0.42 μW, respectively, for an active PVDF area of 8 cm2. Finally, we present a WSN powered up with the energy harvested from the devices, demonstrating that such devices are sufficient to drive an energy autarkic WSN.
研究不足
The maximum operation temperature of PVDF lies around 80 °C, which limits its applications for harvesting thermal energy or sensing temperature.
