研究目的
Investigating the deployment of solar-dc systems and microgrids to provide electricity to off-grid and difficult-to-reach rural areas in India.
研究成果
The solar-dc system has significantly contributed to electrifying every village in India by April 2018. However, to provide quality power for rural homes and industry, novel microgrids connecting decentralized resources and loads are proposed. These microgrids, including a simple 380-v microgrid for power sharing among homes and a more comprehensive microgrid with centralized power generation and storage, are being piloted in Jharkhand and the Andaman Islands.
研究不足
The approach has limitations in terms of the quality and affordability of power supply, the inability of off-grid rooftop solar systems to share excess energy, and the high costs associated with larger batteries for increased energy storage.
