研究目的
Investigating the design and application of absorptive and reflectionless filters to improve system performance by removing unwanted signals without reflection.
研究成果
Recent developments in reflectionless filters solve many of the issues with more classical approaches for absorptive filtering and are a viable technology in applications such as those for the Internet of Space (IoS), where miniaturization is critical. These filters do not reflect or trap unwanted signals but remove them from the system, alleviating many problems associated with out-of-band reactive terminations.
研究不足
The primary drawback of the reflectionless filter approach, at least for Chebyshev responses, is that the ripple factor cannot be made too small, lest some of the required elements become negative. The stopband rejection is, therefore, limited to about 13–14 dB, depending (slightly) on the order.
