研究目的
To determine characteristics of TiO2 nanofibers and nanowires doped with Pt, in dependence on doping agent content and to compare their photocatalytic activity.
研究成果
Platinum doped TiO2 nanofibers and nanowires were successfully fabricated through a simple microwave treatment of the TiO2 anatase nanopowder. Modification with platinum allows increase photocatalytic activity of TiO2 nanofibers and nanowires up to 30 % under UV irradiation and up to 11.5 % under visible light irradiation.
研究不足
The activity of prepared photocatalysts under visible light irradiation was much lower compared to UV irradiation. The reason of this difference could be explained by insufficient activity of the photocatalysts and by different radiation intensity.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Microwave assisted synthesis method was used to obtain TiO2 nanofibres and nanowires.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Anatase nanopowder and 10 M KOH solution were used as raw materials.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Anton Paar Masterwave BTR microwave system, FEK-56, 120 W mercury high presure UV lamp, Philips Torndo 23 W halogen lamp, spectrophotometer Janwey
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
63 TiO2 samples were prepared by a microwave method, modified with platinum under UV irradiation, and their photocatalytic activity was tested by degradation of MB solution under UV and visible light irradiation.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Characterization of physical properties was done by SEM, XRD, XRF, BET surface area analysis methods.
