研究目的
To compare and analyze the spectrophotometric effect of opaque and transparent luting agent on resultant shade of ceramic veneers made of 2L1.5 shade (Vitapan 3D-Masters) and B2 shade (Vitapan Classic).
研究成果
Opaque luting agent gives lighter shade and transparent luting agent gives darker shade to ceramic veneers fabricated with 2L1.5 and B2 shades.
研究不足
The study had a relatively smaller sample size. Further studies with larger sample size including different ceramic veneers are warranted.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study was conducted to compare the effect of opaque and transparent luting agents on the resultant shade of ceramic veneers using spectrophotometric analysis.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Twenty-five extracted human maxillary central incisor teeth were used, divided into two groups based on the shade of ceramic veneers (2L
3:5 and B2). List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Spectrophotometer (Macbeth U.S.A.), dual cure resin cement (Variolink IITM), VITAPAN 3D-Master and VITAPAN Classic shade guides.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Teeth were prepared for ceramic veneers, impressions were made, and veneers were fabricated and cemented with either opaque or transparent luting agents. Spectrophotometric analysis was performed before and after cementation.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The readings were recorded in CIELAB colour space, and dE value was calculated to determine the change in colour. Statistical analysis was done using Paired t-test.
