The synthesized fluorophoric o-vanillin derivatives, especially F2, exhibit excellent fluorescence in their aggregated state due to restricted intra-molecular rotation and formation of J-aggregates. These materials show promise for applications in electro-optical devices, supported by their photophysical, electrochemical, and dielectric properties, as well as theoretical calculations.
