Five isomorphic lanthanide complexes with novel architectures have been prepared successfully under hydrothermal conditions. The flexible HL3? ligands bridge metal nodes through two IDC groups in different fashions to generate a 3D sra network. The efficient energy transfer from the HL3? ligands to the resonance level of lanthanide ions results in complexes 4 and 5 exhibiting intense characteristic luminescent properties of Eu(III) and Tb(III).
