The study demonstrates that a sufficiently high and nearly longitudinal magnetic field configuration can significantly enhance electron cooling near the nozzle throat, which in turn can enhance ion acceleration through high potential drop. Ion demagnetization is correlated with changes in the thermodynamic property of electrons along the distance from the magnetic nozzle.
