研究目的
To assess the feasibility and applicability of the Retinal Function Imager (RFI) in diagnostic imaging of conjunctival microangiopathy (CM) in a diabetic patient.
研究成果
The study demonstrates the feasibility of using the RFI for obtaining high-resolution noninvasive capillary perfusion maps and providing the blood flow velocity of the bulbar conjunctiva vessels in a diabetic patient. It suggests a potential role for the RFI as an in vivo platform to monitor conjunctival vessel alterations in DM patients.
研究不足
The study is a case report with a single patient, limiting the generalizability of the findings. The influence of allergic eye disease or elevated diastolic blood pressure on conjunctival vessel alterations could not be completely ruled out.
