The paper concludes with the identification of critical elements related to the operating environment decisive in the development of an embedded system to capture and store satellite images. It proposes a software/hardware architecture for the implementation of a system for capturing satellite images and establishes the capturing and storing process of an image taken with a CMOS sensor. Additionally, it identifies parameters, materials, and coatings for PCBs manufacture for aerospace operation.

The technical and application constraints of the experiments include the limited volume and mass and energy resources of CubeSat satellites, the hostile space environment (thermal radiation, particle radiation, outgassing), and the need for high-reliability and fault tolerance in the design of electronic subsystems for aerospace application.
