研究目的
To propose a single, unified calibration framework for Vector Network Analyzers that can handle most current calibrations using one framework and one algorithm only, enabling the integration of any potential calibration element and a subsequent power and/or phase calibration as required for nonlinear VNA measurements.
研究成果
The paper proposes a unified framework for wave-based calibration of a VNA that can work with an arbitrary combination of a sufficiently large number of calibration standards. The framework produces calibrations matching the quality of their classical counterparts, while it extends the calibration flexibility to the use of any test structure that is sufficiently well characterized.
研究不足
The technical and application constraints of the experiments include the assumption that the simulated VNA obeys the LTI and isolation hypotheses perfectly. The method's flexibility is shown on simulations first, and it has also been used to calibrate a real VNA based on measurements.
