Designing an area-scan CCD reflecting mirror splicing image-forming system for tracking dynamic targets, analyzing the theory of vignetting generating, and confirming the splicing and overlapping pixel number of the optical system.

The mathematic model of vignetting generating in reflecting mirror splicing optical system was established, confirming the number of overlapping pixels. The designed area-scan CCD image-forming system can satisfy dynamic target tracking, with the SNR of the image increased at least by 15dB.
