研究目的
To develop automated technologies for the identification of solar activity features from large databases of SOHO/MDI data for solar irradiance reconstruction models.
研究成果
The study successfully developed and applied enhanced segmentation algorithms for the identification of solar activity features from SOHO/MDI data. The area coverages of these features were calculated, providing a foundation for future solar irradiance reconstruction studies.
研究不足
The study is limited to the data available from the SOHO/MDI mission and the capabilities of the ASAP tool. Future work could extend to other datasets and improve the segmentation algorithms.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
Enhanced segmentation algorithms were developed to detect and calculate the area coverages of specific magnetic features from MDI intensitygrams and magnetograms. These algorithms are part of the Automated Solar Activity Prediction (ASAP) tool.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Daily intensitygrams and magnetograms from April 21, 1996 to April 11, 2011 were used.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
SOHO/MDI data, ASAP tool.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The segmentation algorithms allow identification of areas on the solar disk covered by magnetic elements inside and outside boundaries of active regions. Features are classified based on their contrast properties.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The area coverages of the segmented features were calculated and provided.
