The BC/TiO2 composite material with a TiO2 to BC ratio of 0.03 significantly enhances photocatalytic properties, with a 43.7% higher RhB degradation than pure TiO2. When incorporated into PAE-based coatings at 6% addition, it achieves optimal photocatalytic performance (83.7% degradation under 8h UV) and improved mechanical properties (adhesion level 2, pencil hardness 2H, impact resistance 44 kg cm), demonstrating potential for environmental applications in pollutant degradation.

4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
BC is pretreated by boiling, drying, and sieving. TiO2 is dispersed ultrasonically with dispersant, mixed with BC suspension, filtered, dried, and ground. Coatings are prepared by mixing PAE with additives, adding BC/TiO2, stirring, sieving, and curing. Tests include nitrogen adsorption, photocatalytic degradation of RhB under UV light, and mechanical property tests (adhesion, pencil hardness, impact resistance).
5:Data Analysis Methods:
BET method for specific surface area and pore size calculation, color change (ΔE) for degradation ratio (η), and standard methods for mechanical tests according to Chinese national standards.
