1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved preparing Dy3+-doped zinc sodium bismuth borate glasses using the melt-quench technique, with characterization via XRD, FTIR, absorption spectra, photoluminescence, decay curves, and thermoluminescence after gamma irradiation. Theoretical models like Judd-Ofelt theory and Inokuti-Hirayama model were applied for analysis.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Glasses with molar compositions 10 ZnO-5Na2CO3-10Bi2O3-(75-x)B2O3-xDy2O3 (x = 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7, 1 mol%) were prepared, named ZNBBD-1 to ZNBBD-5. High-purity chemicals (99.9%) from Sigma-Aldrich were used.

Chemicals were weighed, ground, melted at 1000°C for 2 hours, quenched on a preheated stainless steel mould, annealed at 350°C for 3 hours, polished, and characterized. Density and refractive index were measured; XRD, FTIR, absorption spectra, photoluminescence, decay curves, and thermoluminescence after gamma irradiation (doses 0.25-5 kGy) were recorded.
