The 3D CdS nanostructures demonstrated superior photocatalytic efficiency for erioglaucine degradation and hydrogen generation due to their hierarchical structure, high crystallinity, enhanced charge separation, and numerous active sites. Sonication further boosted performance for 3D and 2D CdS but reduced it for 1D CdS. The morphology significantly influences photocatalytic activity, with 3D CdS being promising for environmental and energy applications.

1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved synthesizing CdS nanostructures with different morphologies (1D, 2D, 3D) via solvothermal methods using specific precursors and solvents. Photocatalytic activities were evaluated under visible light irradiation for dye degradation and hydrogen evolution.

Synthesis involved solvothermal reactions at specified temperatures and times. Photocatalytic tests included slurry preparation, dark adsorption, light irradiation, aliquot collection, centrifugation, and analysis. Sonication was applied before some tests. Hydrogen evolution used deoxygenated suspensions with hole scavengers.
