    摘要: The authors previously succeeded in reducing the shaft voltage of a PWM driven motor with a rotor which had an outer core and an inner core (and the shaft), electrically insulated each other by a resin (hereafter, the insulated rotor). This paper proposes a new method for further reduction of the shaft voltage of a motor with an insulated rotor by adding a capacitor between brackets and N line of the dc link of the inverter. A common-mode equivalent circuit of the system with an ungrounded motor is examined, and the effect of further reduction by the new method is veri?ed by calculation of the shaft voltage from the equivalent circuit and measurement of the shaft voltage of the motor.

    摘要: Touch-based interactivity has become an important function in displays. This paper reports on the signal processing of touch signals in which touch interactivity is processed as an image, and correlated double sampling (CDS) algorithm is applied for both common-mode noise reduction and global multivalued offset cancellation. Based on experimental results, we achieved a boost in SNR of 7.6 dB. The processed signal reduces detection errors and power consumption of the system.

    摘要: Reducing the capacitance of programmable capacitor arrays (PCAs), commonly used in analog integrated circuits, is necessary for low-energy applications. However, limited mismatch data are available for small capacitors. We report mismatch measurement for a 2-fF poly–insulator–poly (PIP) capacitor, which is the smallest reported PIP capacitor to the best of the authors’ knowledge. Instead of using complicated custom on-chip circuitry, direct mismatch measurement is demonstrated and veri?ed using Monte Carlo simulations and experimental measurements. Capacitive test structures composed of 9-bit PCAs are implemented in a low-cost 0.35-μm CMOS process. Measured data are compared to the mismatch of large PIP capacitors, theoretical models, and recently published data. Measurement results indicate an estimated average relative standard deviation of 0.43% for the 2-fF unit capacitor, which is better than the reported mismatch of metal–oxide–metal (MOM) fringing capacitors implemented in an advanced 32-nm CMOS process.

  • Influence of Charge Transport Layers on Capacitance Measured in Halide Perovskite Solar Cells

    摘要: We show that capacitance-based techniques cannot be used to reliably analyze the properties of defects in the perovskite layer or at its interface due to the influence of hole-transport materials. For hole-transport-layer-free PSCs, high-frequency capacitance can be considered as the geometric capacitance for calculating the dielectric constant of the perovskite layer. We further show that the low-frequency capacitance signature can be used to calculate the activation energy of the ionic conductivity of the perovskite layer.

  • Iron Oxide Nanopowders Obtained via Pulsed Laser Ablation, for Supercapacitors

    摘要: Nano-sized magnetite powders with addition of iron nitrides were synthesized via pulsed laser ablation (PLA) of an iron target in atmospheric air. A series of iron oxide nanopowders with various phase compositions (ranging from magnetite to hematite) and structures (from 2D lamellas and spherical nanoparticles to continuous 3D structures) were prepared via heat treatment of the initial (as-synthesized) powder at temperatures in the range 200–500°C. The powders were introduced into the composition of carbon paste electrodes (CPEs). The capacitive characteristics of the electrodes prepared were studied in comparison to a commercial electroexplosive iron oxide powder. The capacitances of electrodes were matched to the structural characteristics of the materials and their phase compositions. With the chosen electrode-preparation method, the powder heat-treated at 500°С (sample Fe/500) showed the highest capacitance. The potential of the studied ultrafine materials based on ablative iron oxide was shown for use in electrodes for supercapacitors.

  • Effect of thermal condensation temperature on electrochemical capacitive properties of g-C3N4 supported on reduced TiO2 nanowires/nanotubes array

    摘要: In this work, effect of processing temperature in electrochemical capacitors was investigated for g-C3N4. The g-C3N4 materials (CN) were synthesized by thermal condensation of melamine precursor at different temperature (450, 550 and 650 °C). Then, the g-C3N4 materials were deposited on electrochemically reduced TiO2 nanowires/nanotubes arrays (rTWTA)/Ti substrate. The g-C3N4/rTWTA/Ti electrodes were used as supercapacitor electrodes. Morphology, crystal structure and chemical composition of the g-C3N4/rTWTA/Ti electrodes were studied by FESEM, XRD, FTIR and elemental analysis. Based on galvanostatic charge/discharge measurements, the CN(450)/rTWTA/Ti electrode exhibited the highest specific capacitance up to 22 mF/cm2 at 0.3 mA/cm2 with long cyclic durability at 96.8% capacitance retention after 500 cycle. This effect was attributed to the existence of higher nitrogen content, more active sites, the improved hydrophilicity and three-dimensional morphology of the CN(450)/rTWTA/Ti electrode as compared to the other electrodes. This research introduces the optimum thermal condensation temperature of the melamine for synthesis of the g-C3N4 with great potentials in supercapacitors.

    摘要: A 16μm pitch 256×256 frames per second CMOS proximity capacitance image sensor fabricated by a 0.18μm CMOS process technology is presented. By the introduction of noise canceling operation, both fixed pattern noise (FPN) and kTC noise are significantly reduced, resulting in the 0.1aF (10-19F) detection accuracy. Proximity capacitance imaging results using the developed sensor are also demonstrated.

    摘要: We report the experimental observation of hysteresis-free negative capacitance (NC) in thin ferroelectric Hf0.5Zr0.5O2 (HZO) films through high-speed pulsed charge-voltage measurements. Hysteretic switching is suppressed by the addition of thin Al2O3 layers on top of the HZO to prevent the screening of the polarization. We observe an S-shaped polarization-electric field dependence without hysteresis in agreement with Landau theory, which enables direct extraction of NC modeling parameters for ferroelectric HZO. Hysteresis-free NC is demonstrated down to 100 ns pulse widths limited only by our measurement setup. These results give critical insights into the physics of ferroelectric NC and practical NC device design using ferroelectric HZO.
