  • Synthesis, Conductivity and Impedance Studies on across adjacent ring formed new metallo phthalocyanines

    摘要: The synthesis and characterization of Co(II), Zn(II) and Ni(II) phthalocyanines (Pcs) 4, 5 and 6, respectively containing two Bis[2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-2-propyl]benzene across adjacent ring formed at the peripheral positions are described. The Pcs were synthesized by cyclotetramerization of the previously prepared precursor 4,4’-bis[1,3-propylbenzene-2-p-phenoxy]phthalonitrile (3) with the presence of metal salt in boiling dry DMF under a dry nitrogen atmosphere. Elemental analysis, UV-Vis, FT-IR, MALDI-TOF mass and 1H-NMR spectrometry techniques were used for characterization of 4. DC and ac conductivity and impedance spectra (IS) measurements were performed on the films 5, and 6 between the temperatures 293 - 523 K and frequencies 40-100 kHz. The dc conductivity values were calculated as 2.11x10-10 S/cm, 3.48x10-10 S/cm, and 1.90x10-10 S/cm for the films of 4, 5, and 6 at room temperature. Activation energy values of the films were also calculated. ac conductivity results suggest that dominant charge transport mechanisms can be explained by hopping model depending on temperature and frequency range. From impedance spectra, Cole-Cole plots, the relaxation time in Debye dispersion relation is considered as a distribution of relaxation time values, rather than as a single relaxation time. To elucidate the structural, spectroscopic and bonding properties of the obtained compounds, DFT/TD-DFT calculations were performed.

  • Reflection coefficient of HfO <sub/>2</sub> -based RRAM in different resistance states

    摘要: Impedance spectra of multiple resistive states in a stable-switching Resistive Random-Access Memory device based on a stack of Ru/HfO2/Zr/W was studied in this work. Using these observations, re?ection-coef?cients were extracted for different resistive states. Clear changes in the re?ection coef?cient for different resistive states were observed. The device in a low resistive state showed a signi?cantly higher re?ection coef?cient compared to its high resistive state. An increasing trend in the re?ection coef?cient was observed as the device state was gradually recon?gured towards lower resistances. Maximum frequency for re?ection increased with the decrease in the device area. The physics behind this observation is attributed to the interplay of oxygen ion transport among the interfacial layer, conductive ?lament, and HfO2-?lm.

  • Hydrothermal synthesis of quantum dots dispersed on conjugated polymer as an efficient electrodes for highly stable hybrid supercapacitors

    摘要: Hydrothermal synthesis of graphene quantum dots (GQDs) composited with conjugated polymer were investigated the high specific capacitance and cyclic stability of supercapacitor. The situ chemical polymerization method was employed to synthesize the polypyrrole - graphene quantum dots (PPY-GQDs) composite at different concentrations of GQDs. The size, morphology and structural phase of the PPY- GQDs composites was studied by using Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM), Field Emission Scanning Electron Microscope (FESEM), Atomic Force Microscope (AFM) and X-ray diffractometry (XRD) techniques respectively. The optical and electrochemical measurements were carried out by using Ultraviolet-Visible (UV–Vis) Absorption spectroscopy, Photoluminescence Spectroscopy (PL) and electrochemical work station. The cyclic voltammetry (CV) results show enhanced current density and area of CV loop with increasing scan rate and the concentration of GQDs. The Supercapacitor was fabricated by two electrodes owns a high energy density 67.8 Wh/kg and 93 Wh/kg at a power density of 1210 W/kg and 1430 W/kg for PGC1 and PGC3 composites. The highest specific capacitance values 467.32 and 647.54F/g are achieved by PGC1 and PGC3 composite compare to pure PPY. The PPY-GQDs composites achieved excellent cycle stability until the 2000 cycle. Thus, it demonstrates that GQDs is playing a unique and important role in improving the performance of a hybrid supercapacitor device.

  • Radiation hardness investigation of heterojunction solar cell structures with TCO antireflection films

    摘要: Phosphorus doped silicon carbide film as emitter in heterojunction structure was deposited on p-type Si(100) wafers at various deposition conditions by means of PECVD technology using silane (SiH4), methane (CH4), hydrogen (H2) and phosphine (PH3, 2 vol.% in H2) gas as precursors. ITO or IZO film was RF magnetron sputtered on top of the different P doped a-SiC:H(n) film. Irradiation of structures with Xe ions to total fluency 5x1011 cm-2 was performed at room temperature. Influence of phosphorus concentration and type of transparent conducting oxide was investigated. A deeper insight on the impact of irradiation on the electrophysical properties of sample was obtained by the analysis of complex impedance spectra.

  • Fluorescence coupled with electrochemical approach at the bulk and the interface region of hydrogen-bonding self assemblies of urea derivatives with DDP dye in aqueous solution

    摘要: Photophysical and electrochemical techniques were employed to hydrogen-bonding self assemblies forming solutes (Urea, Dimethylurea and Tetramethylurea) in the presence of 4-dicyanomethylene 2, 6-dimethyl-4H-pyran (DDP) dye. Addition of urea derivatives to DDP dye (Intramolecular Charge Transfer (ICT)) results in a fluorescence enhancement accompanied with a significant shift. Fluorescence lifetime behavior exhibits a tri-exponential decay with a large variation in the fluorescence lifetime and relative amplitude distribution. The co-existence of three different fluorescence lifetime components of DDP with urea derivatives signifies the existence of heterogeneous micro environment. The dye is surrounded by varying proportion of solute and water molecules are established from fluorescence lifetime studies. Urea derivatives govern the excited state characteristics of DDP dye resulting in the formation and promotion of different microenvironment which are clearly distinguishable. The existence of multi environment attributed to urea-water structural behaviour is authenticated by electrochemical impedance spectral studies (EIS). A large variation in the contour pattern, shape and intensity in 3D fluorescence contour spectra of dye with urea validate the existence of dye in a heterogeneous micro environment. The hydrophobicity of urea derivatives along with the hydrogen-bonding properties of urea-water and urea-urea influence the photophysical and electrochemical nature of dye is emphasized.

  • The Role of B-site Substitution on the Structural and Dielectric Properties of Samarium Orthoferrite Polycrystals

    摘要: Polycrystalline samples of SmFeO3, SmFe0.5Co0.5O3, and SmFe0.5Cr0.5O3 were prepared by the conventional solid state reaction method. Powder x- ray diffraction pattern confirmed the formation of orthorhombic structure without any impurity phase. Dielectric and impedance properties of the sintered samples were studied as a function of temperature and frequency ranging from 300 K to 550 K and 100 Hz to 50 MHz respectively. The dielectric studies showed interesting properties like dielectric anomaly around spin reorientation temperature suggesting that the magnetic and electric order parameter may be coupled. The behavior of AC conductivity with temperature was explained by hopping mechanisms and the activation energy was found decreased for the doped samples. Nyquist and electric modulus spectra revealed the grain and grain boundary contributions of the sintered samples. The experimental results suggest that the spin reorientation can be tuned in the samarium orthoferrites by changing the B-site ion.
