Study of the Effect of Optical Illumination on Resistive Switching in ZrO2(Y) Films with Au Nanoparticles by Tunneling Atomic Force Microscopy
摘要: The effect of optical illumination on the resistive switching in ultrathin (~4 nm) ZrO2(Y) films with embedded single-layer Au nanoparticle arrays 2–3 nm in size is studied via tunneling atomic force microscopy. The ZrO2(Y) films with Au nanoparticles are grown by layerwise magnetron deposition onto glass substrates with a conductive indium-tin-oxide sublayer, followed by annealing at 450°C. An increase in hysteresis due to bipolar resistive switching in the ZrO2(Y) films is observed on the cyclic current–voltage curves of the microscope probe-to-sample contact. The effect is found to manifest itself in a dense Au nanoparticle array (~660 nm) when the contact area is photoexcited through a transparent substrate exposed to the radiation of a semiconductor laser at the plasmon-resonance wavelength. The effect is attributed to the photon-assisted field emission of electrons from Au nanoparticles to the conduction band of ZrO2(Y) in a strong electric field between the microscope probe and the indium-tin-oxide substrate under plasmon-resonance conditions.

Spectral and third order nonlinear optical properties of Yttrium-doped BaWO4 nanostructures
摘要: BaWO4 nanostructures doped with different concentrations of Yttrium have been synthesized by a chemical method. The as-prepared samples were characterized by UV–vis diffuse reflectance spectra, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, Transmission electron microscopy and Raman spectra. From the UV–vis spectra, it is seen that absorption band edge shifted towards the visible region upon Y doping. The X-ray diffraction and Raman analyses reveal that the BaWO4 powders present a tetragonal structure. The third-order nonlinear optical responses of BaWO4 nanostructures on the effect of Y concentrations was investigated by Z-scan technique using a continuous wave Nd:YAG laser at 532 nm. Experimental results have shown that the observed nonlinear absorption and nonlinear refraction behavior is attributed to saturable absorption and thermal nonlinear effects.

ENHANCED STRUCTURAL AND ELECTRICAL PROPERTIES OF LEAD-FREE Y-DOPED (K, Na) NbO3 THIN FILMS
摘要: Yttrium- doped KNN thin films were grown on Si substrates using the sol-gel technique. The profound effects of Yttrium with different content element (mol % = 0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5, 0.7 and 0.9) on the structural and electrical properties of KNN films were analyzed. The doped samples demonstrated a mainly uniform and homogenous microstructure with grain size less than 100 nm. The existence of Y Kα line shown in EDX spectrum confirmed the presence of Y-dopant in KNN based-compound. Small shift position of the Raman peaks indicated that Y incorporated on the interstitial A-site while broaden FWHM ascribed that Y preferably enters B-site lattice at high dopant concentration. The enhanced electrical resistivity at 0.5 mol % Y suggested that more conduction electrons were formed in KNN lattice structure.

Preparation of hollow yttrium-doped TiO<sub>2</sub> microspheres with enhanced visible-light photocatalytic activity
摘要: Using melamine-formaldehyde polymer microspheres as templates, yttrium-doped TiO2 hollow spheres (Y-TiO2HS) were successfully prepared via a sol-gel method. The as-synthesized samples were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, UV-Vis diffuse reflectance spectrum, luminescence spectrum, specific surface area (BET) analysis and porosity analysis. The results indicate that Y doping could increase the thermal stability, reduce the band gap and enhance photocatalytic activity of the TiO2. When the Y doping molar ratio was 1.5%, the Y-TiO2HS presented high surface area (62.651 m2 /g) and photocatalytic degradation rate (about 70%). The corresponding BET value and photocatalytic degradation rate of Y-TiO2HS increased by 3 times and 50%, respectively, compared with those of un-doped TiO2HS.

Strong Coupling of Magnons to Microwave Photons in Three-Dimensional Printed Resonators
摘要: We report on ferromagnetic resonant mode hybridization in re-entrant cavities made with a commercial three-dimensional (3D) printer, followed by conventional 3D metalization with copper and tin. The cavity volume was only 7% that of a standard cavity resonating at the same frequency, while maintaining a high quality factor. Simulations were in very good agreement. We obtained an effective coupling of about 40 MHz in two cavities at room temperature. These experimental results demonstrate the utility of tunable filters based on complex 3D printed cavities.

摘要: Yttrium fluoride (YF3) films were grown on sapphire substrate by a radio frequency magnetron using a commercial ceramic target in a vacuum chamber. The structure, composition, and plasma etching behavior of the films were systematically investigated. The YF3 film was deposited at a working pressure of 5 mTorr and an RF power of 150 W. The substrate-heating temperature was increased from 400 to 700 °C in increments of 100 °C. High-resolution transmission electron microscopy (HRTEM) and X-ray diffraction results confirmed an orthorhombic YF3 structure was obtained at a substrate temperature of 700 °C for 2 h. X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy revealed a strongly fluorinated bond (Y–F bond) on the etched surface of the YF3 films. HRTEM analysis also revealed that the YF3 films became yttrium-oxyfluorinated after exposure to fluorocarbon plasma. The etching depth was three times lower on YF3 film than on Al2O3 plate. These results showed that the YF3 films have excellent erosion resistance properties compared to Al2O3 plates.

Synthesis and Luminescence of Europium-Containing Compositions Based on Yttrium Oxide and Oxyfluorides
摘要: By heating the products isolated from an ethyl acetate medium, luminescent europium-containing compositions based on yttrium oxyfluorides and oxide have been synthesized. The concentration of Eu3+ ions in the compositions was from 0.10 to 10 at % of the yttrium content. It has been shown that the (EuхY1 – х)nOn – 1Fn + 2, (EuхY1 – х)OF, (EuхY1 – х)2O3, and (EuхY1 – х)5O4F7 phases are formed during the synthesis. The luminescence of the compositions is related to the 5D0 → 7Fj electron transitions of Eu3+ ions. It depends on the synthesis conditions, the type of matrix, the position of the Eu3+ ions in the crystal lattice, the excitation wavelength, and other factors.

Ultrathin Y <sub/>2</sub> O <sub/>3</sub> :Eu <sup>3+</sup> nanodiscs: spectroscopic investigations and evidence for reduced concentration quenching
摘要: Here, we report the synthesis and spectral properties of ultrathin nanodiscs (NDs) of Y2O3:Eu3+. It was found that the NDs of Y2O3:Eu3+ with a thickness of about 1 nm can be fabricated in a reproducible, facile and self-assembling process, which does not depend on the Eu3+ concentration. The thickness and morphology of these NDs were determined with small angle x-ray scattering and transmission electron microscopy. We found that the crystal field in these nanoparticles deviates from both the cubic and monoclinic characteristics, albeit the shape of the 5D0 → 7FJ (J = 0, 1, 2) transitions shows some similarity with the transitions in the monoclinic material. The Raman spectra of the non-annealed NDs manifest various vibration modes of the oleic acid molecules, which are used to stabilise the NDs. The annealed NDs show two very weak Raman lines, which may be assigned to vibrational modes of Y2O3 NDs. The concentration quenching of the Eu3+ luminescence of the NDs before annealing is largely suppressed and might be explained in terms of a reduction of the phonon density of states.

3D Magneto-Optical Trap of Yttrium Monoxide
摘要: We report three-dimensional trapping of an oxide molecule (YO), using a radio-frequency magneto-optical trap (MOT). The total number of molecules trapped is ~1.5 × 104, with a temperature of 4.1(5) mK. This diversifies the frontier of molecules that are laser coolable and paves the way for the second-stage narrow-line cooling in this molecule to the microkelvin regime. Futhermore, the new challenges of creating a 3D MOT of YO resolved here indicate that MOTs of more complex nonlinear molecules should be feasible as well.

摘要: A nonlinear equivalent-circuit model is developed for thin-film magnetic material based RF devices such as frequency-selective limiter (FSL) and signal-to-noise enhancer (SNE). The ferromagnetic resonance is modeled by a RLC parallel circuit with parameters derived from Kittel’s equations. The nonlinear effect in magnetic material is represented by a pendulum model that predicts cross-frequency coupling as well as parametric oscillations of spins. The coupling of spin waves in different orders is also modeled by coupled nonlinear pendulum resonators with the exchange coupling between the spins represented by coupling inductors. The measurement results of a FSL in literature are used as a reference, and the model successfully predicts the threshold power level, nonlinear insertion loss, and frequency selectivity of the device.
