Investigating the feasibility of weak light LED-LED VLC for the future light-based IoT links, where the power can be extracted from the white LED module output under the illumination of intensive enough ambient light.

The PPM modulation has a higher bit rate than the OOK modulation under low SNR conditions. The 16-PPM modulation achieved a bit rate of up to 10Mbps with transmitted optical power not exceeding 100μW and BER lower than the FEC threshold. The OOK modulation can be used in scenarios requiring bit rates exceeding 10Mbps under normal illumination.
研究不足
The bandwidth of the LED-LED link is relatively low, and the input signal power impacts the link bandwidth. The noise of the LEDs as a receiver is mainly signal-independent, with negligible shot noise influence.
