研究目的
To investigate the ONH blood ?ow autoregulation in patients with NTG by in?uencing the OPP with the WDT.
研究成果
The present study demonstrated that the OPP is not significantly altered by the WDT in patients with NTG as well as in healthy individuals. Increase in OPP can be considered modest compared with other methods to influence OPP. The WDT has only limited use in blood flow autoregulation investigations.

A sample size of 9 eyes per group limits the results, especially when considering the rather high effect of some variables. The small sample size precluded further analysis, for example, on MBR waveform parameters.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study included 9 eyes from 9 white patients with a diagnosis of NTG and 9 eyes from age-matched and sex-matched healthy individuals. Measurements of ONH blood ?ow were performed with laser speckle ?owgraphy. After baseline measurements, individuals ingested 800 mL of water in <5 minutes. Measurements were repeated after 15, 30, and 45 minutes.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Patients with NTG were recruited consecutively from the glaucoma clinic of the Kepler University Hospital Linz, Austria. Healthy volunteers were employees of the clinic or had been treated formerly for other ophthalmic diseases.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Laser speckle ?owgraphy (LSFG RetFlow, Nidek Co., Ltd), automated device for systemic SBP and DBP (Medicus Prestige, Bosch+Sohn), Humphrey HFA 745i perimeter (Carl Zeiss Meditec AG), spectral-domain OCT system (Spectralis, Heidelberg Engineering).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Subjects were instructed to abstain from alcohol and stimulating beverages containing xanthine derivatives 12 hours before the LSFG measurements. Measurements were performed in a quiet, dark room with the subject in the sitting position.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Statistical analyses were performed with SPSS software version 23.0. Data were tested for normality using the Shapiro-Wilk test. Baseline characteristics were tested for statistically significant differences with the Student t test for unpaired data. For interference statistics of the longitudinal data, a general linear model was calculated by repeated measures analysis of variances.
