研究目的
To evaluate the ultrastructural effect of fractional ablative CO2 (FrCo2) laser on facial melasma.
研究成果
Repeated application of Fractional CO2 laser on melasma skin may result in long lasting improvement due to its destructive effect on melanocytes.
研究不足
The study was limited by the few number of dermal melasma patients.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study was conducted as a treatment trial on 22 cases of Melasma patients with no history of previous treatment within the last 6 weeks before starting the study treatment. Patients were treated with two sessions of fractional CO2 laser one month apart.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
Two punch biopsies of 2 mm diameter were obtained from all subjects one before and the other 3 months after treatment.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Fractional CO2 laser (10600) (MX7000 scanner type, manufactured by DAESHIN ENTERPRISE CO., LTD, Seoul, Korea), digital camera Sony: Cyber – Shot DSC-W690 and Dermlite II PRO HR; 3Gen, USA.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
Each patient received two sessions of fractional CO2 laser, one month apart. Each session was performed with a single pass at a power 12 mj, scan scale 15 × 15 mm, depth level 2 μm, density level 3 MTZ/cm3, repeat time off and mode selection microxel scanner.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The collected data were organized, tabulated and statistically analyzed using SPSS software (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences, version 16, SPSS Inc. Chicago, IL, USA).
