1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
A facile electrochemical route was used to synthesize K-doped ZnO nanotapers on an ITO substrate. The structural, morphologic, optical, and electrical properties were thoroughly investigated.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
An equimolar mixture of zinc acetate and hexamethylenetetramine (HMT) was diluted in deionized water, mixed with potassium acetate as the precursor for K doping, and adjusted to pH 11 with NH4OH.

4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The aqueous solution was put into a galvanic cell with platinum and ZnO seed layer coated on ITO films as electrodes. Current densities of 1 mA/cm2 and a growth time of 1 h were used at 100°C.

The optical band gap was estimated using Tauc’s plot. The photovoltaic characteristics were measured, and the performance parameters were summarized.
