研究目的
To compare femto-presbyLASIK to standard myopia femto-LASIK refractive surgical correction and identify a more specific set of indications for presbyopia LASIK treatments.
研究成果
PresbyLASIK treatment is as safe and effective as regular LASIK myopia correction and can be recommended to treat presbyopia. The study proposes specific indications for presbyLASIK treatment, including age over 48 years and certain corneal morphology criteria.
研究不足
The study suggests that topography measurements may not have been accurate enough to fully assess astigmatism changes. Additionally, the subjective tolerance to multifocal optics in presbyLASIK treatments may affect outcomes.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study included two groups of eyes, one treated with regular myopic LASIK correction and the other with PresbyLASIK Supracor treatment. All surgeries were performed by an experienced surgeon using the LDV femtosecond laser for LASIK flaps and the B&L-Technolas proprietary transition zone algorithm for ablation patterns.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
The study population consisted of 40 eyes of 20 patients for myopia correction and 50 eyes of 25 patients for presbyopia correction.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
LDV femtosecond laser (Ziemer Ophthalmology), Galilei G4 tomographer (Ziemer Ophthalmic Systems), and B&L-Technolas excimer laser system.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
LASIK flaps were made with the LDV femtosecond laser, and ablation patterns were calculated using the Munnerlyn formula. The Supracor PresbyLASIK procedure was performed wavefront-guided.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
Statistical analysis included average and standard deviation calculations, two-tailed Student t-test for parametric data, and Wilcoxon signed rank test for nonparametric data.
