研究目的
To detect defects in induction machine rotor bars for disassembled motors, evaluating machines considered for repair and fulfilling incremental quality assurance checks in the manufacture of new machines.
研究成果
The RMFA technique offers a method of detecting major and minor defects in rotors in a repeatable manner, providing advantages such as improved electrical safety, the ability to detect a variety of rotor bar flaws, and the generation of a rotor fingerprint for future comparison. It improves upon available rotor bar testing methods applicable for disassembled offline testing.
研究不足
The technique may require higher exciter flux densities for closed slot rotor designs to prevent a reduction in sensitivity. Residual magnetization of the rotor must be reduced to prevent artificially biasing the test results, and the process of demagnetization can be necessary.
