研究目的
To detect defects in induction machine rotor bars for disassembled motors, evaluating machines considered for repair and fulfilling incremental quality assurance checks in the manufacture of new machines.
研究成果
The RMFA technique offers a method of detecting major and minor defects in rotors in a repeatable manner, providing advantages such as improved electrical safety, the ability to detect a variety of rotor bar flaws, and the generation of a rotor fingerprint for future comparison. It represents a significant improvement over existing rotor testing techniques.
研究不足
The technique may be less sensitive to closed slot rotor designs due to the rotor core bridging the top of a rotor bar, requiring higher exciter flux densities. Residual magnetization of the rotor can artificially bias test results, necessitating degaussing to a level less than 0.1 mT.
