The demonstration successfully transmitted 15×4-Gb/s QPSK coherent WDM channels over 100-km SSMF, achieving a BER performance below the HD-FEC threshold for all channels. This represents a record for the highest number of coherent WDM channels with different data generated from a single CW laser and data modulator pair.
研究不足
The inter-channel interference (ICI) caused by the FWM operation using an imperfect pump pulse in the OFT unit affects the BER performance, especially for central channels. The quality of the OFT pump can be improved by using a simple 2 GHz electro-optic pulse source.
