1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
The study involved the synthesis of a novel chalcone derivative (2TM) using Claisen–Schimidt condensation reaction method and growth of single crystals using slow evaporation solution growth technique. Various characterization techniques were employed to study the properties of the crystal.

The synthesized 2TM compound was used for the study. Data was collected using techniques like single-crystal x-ray diffraction, FTIR, TG/DTA, Z-scan, UV–Vis-NIR, and photoluminescence spectroscopy.
