1:Experimental Design and Method Selection
The study focused on the photodynamic effects of (6,4)-SWNTs under NIR illumination, comparing their efficiency in generating reactive oxygen species (ROS) with other chiral s-SWNTs and a clinical NIR dye. The methodology included fluorescence-based assays for ROS detection, transient absorption measurements for photodynamics analysis, and Raman spectroscopy for assessing photostability.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources
Chirality-enriched s-SWNTs ((6,4)-SWNTs, (6,5)-SWNTs, and (12,1)-SWNTs) were prepared from HiPCO? SWNTs using gel chromatography-based methods. The purity of each chirality was evaluated through NIR absorption spectra.

4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow
SWNTs were dispersed and chirality-enriched, followed by evaluation of ROS generation under NIR illumination. Photodynamic therapy efficacy was tested on HeLa cells and amyloid beta peptide aggregates. Photostability was assessed through absorption spectra and Raman spectroscopy before and after illumination.
5:Data Analysis Methods
Fluorescence intensity measurements for ROS detection, transient absorption spectra analysis for photodynamics, and Raman spectra analysis for photostability. Statistical analysis was performed to compare the efficiency of ROS generation among different s-SWNTs.
