The fabrication of high-quality CsPbBr3 polycrystalline films via solution processes is challenging due to the low solubility of CsBr in dimethylformamide (DMF) and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) solvents, which causes insufficient and unbalanced reaction of the precursors.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection:
A facile and modified sequential spin-coating method was introduced to prepare high-crystallinity, pinhole-free CsPb2Br5-CsPbBr3 perovskite films.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources:
CsPb2Br5 precursor film was prepared by the conventional one-step solution route and followed by spin-coating of a CsBr precursor solution.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials:
Chemicals and reagents included Lead (II) bromide, cesium bromide, dimethyl sulfoxide, methanol, and aqueous HBr. Equipment included field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM, JEOL, JSM-6700F) and X-ray diffraction (D8 FOCUS X-ray diffraction).
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow:
The perovskite precursor solution was spin-coated on a substrate and crystallized by heating. Various cycles of CsBr spin-coating were applied to obtain the Cs-Pb-Br thin films.
5:Data Analysis Methods:
The morphology and crystallinity of the samples were characterized by FESEM and X-ray diffraction. The photoluminescence spectra and the time-resolved photoluminescence decay spectra were measured by the time-correlated single-photon counting technique.
