The proposed voltage control method for ST, which switches among three setpoints based on voltage, provides a better voltage profile in the distribution network compared to the conventional method. The net voltage margin for distributed PV is more than that of lumped PV, indicating better system voltage profile with distributed PV. The proposed method shows improved system voltage profile for both lumped and distributed PV cases.

The study is limited to simulation results on a CIGRE low voltage residential distribution network. Real-world implementation challenges and variations in network conditions are not considered.
