研究目的
Investigating the correlation between defect absorption and nano-second laser-induced damage of HfO2/SiO2 based high reflective coatings at 1064 nm.
研究成果
The laser-induced damage characteristics distribution could be determined by the weak absorption distribution to only a limited extent, limited by the complexity of the defects characteristics evolution during the laser irradiation. Some defect types can be removed or passivated by laser irradiation, while others may develop to inflict catastrophic damage during irradiation.
研究不足
The complexity of the defects characteristics evolution during the laser irradiation makes it difficult to establish a correlation between weak absorption distribution and the LIDT. The presence of catastrophic destruction defects in the coating should be mitigated during the deposition process to ensure the beneficial effect of laser conditioning.
