研究目的
Investigating the photocatalytic activity of Polyaniline-Bismuth Selenide Composites for the degradation of Methyl Orange, Rhodamine B, and Malachite Green dyes under visible light irradiation.
研究成果
PANI-Bi2Se3 composites, especially with 25 weight percentage Bi2Se3, showed superior photocatalytic activity for dye degradation under visible light, attributed to enhanced charge separation. The composites demonstrated reusability and stability over multiple cycles.
研究不足
The study focuses on specific dyes and conditions; the scalability and practical application in real wastewater treatment scenarios were not explored.
1:Experimental Design and Method Selection
The study involved the synthesis of PANI-Bi2Se3 composites via in-situ chemical oxidative polymerization with different weight percentages of PANI. The photocatalytic activity was evaluated under visible light irradiation.
2:Sample Selection and Data Sources
The samples included PANI-Bi2Se3 composites with varying PANI content. Dye solutions (Methyl Orange, Rhodamine B, Malachite Green) were used to assess photocatalytic degradation.
3:List of Experimental Equipment and Materials
Materials included aniline monomer, bismuth nitrate, ammonium persulphate, 5-sulfosalicylic acid, ethanol, and dyes. Equipment included XRD, FESEM, SEM, TEM, EDX, FTIR, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
4:Experimental Procedures and Operational Workflow
The composites were synthesized, characterized, and then tested for photocatalytic activity by measuring the degradation of dyes under visible light. Scavenger experiments were conducted to identify active species.
5:Data Analysis Methods
Degradation efficiency and rate constants were calculated from UV-Vis spectral changes. The mechanism was proposed based on radical trapping experiments.
