To upgrade the existing mobile calibration standard used for on-site calibration of transformer loss measurement systems to improve system stability and resolution in phase-settings between voltage and current generation.

An improved mobile calibration standard for on-site calibrations of TLMSs is described. Low power factor and stability requirements in the calibrations are fulfilled with the upgraded system configuration. Using component based modular system configuration and combination of generation and measurement transformers provide functionality to the calibration standard for on-site measurements.

Future works include integrating digital sampling techniques into the measurement system for better uncertainty level, re-evaluating calibration uncertainties for ratio and phase errors of the individual components of the measurement system, and adopting a well-configured feed-back loop system to improve the stability in generation.
