研究目的
To review the recent progress in IFE-based fluorescence sensing with optically-active nanocrystals, focusing on strategies for tuning the spectral overlap between emitters and absorbers to maximize the sensitivity of IFE-based fluorescent sensors.
研究成果
The review concludes that optically-active nanocrystals with tunable fluorescence/absorption greatly extend the applications of IFE-based fluorescent assays. It suggests that the general ideas for constructing FRET-based fluorescent assays can be learned for future IFE-based assays and highlights the need for further exploration to fulfill the demand for high-throughput assays.
研究不足
The potential interferences in practical sensing applications may be heavier than current FRET-based assays. The sensitivity of IFE-based assays should be maximized for potential elimination of interferences through simple dilution of real samples. The presence of IFE may also interfere with target detection, introducing potential errors.
