To develop a simple protocol to permit rapid and robust quantitative prediction of soybean constituents using transmission Raman spectroscopy (TRS).

The developed experimental and processing approaches allow for accurate predictions by integrating sample preparation with prediction algorithms that validates the use of Raman spectroscopy for high quality results. The Raman instrument built in-house is easy to reconfigure and therefore provides design flexibility based on sample needs and future optimization.

The study did not seek to optimize data acquisition time to achieve higher throughput. Other factors like instrumentation costs, training users, and long-term stability of the instrument dictate specific use.
